How many email templates do I need?
Some photographers might only use 1 or 2 standard email responses, while others offer a variety of types of photography services and want to communicate plenty of details. It doesn't really matter, but the point is... you'll need as many as you determine it will take to make your life easier! You might start with a standard auto-response thanking your potential client for their interest in your services. You might also have lengthy and detailed "What to expect" emails outlining every little detail about a newborn photography shoot to help it run as smoothly as possible.
What we've found to be the most helpful approach, is to have several email templates built around the different types of sessions you offer and the pricing associated with each type. Those mostly serve as your initial response. From there, you might have different email templates that include information around what your client might expect. Or, maybe you're working on no longer shooting a certain type of setting but you're still getting a lot of inquiries, it can even be helpful to create an email template that simply refers the inquiry to other photographers in your area. It's never a bad thing to help another photographer out, and the potential client will appreciate that you took the time and effort to help them out!
